Hi I’m David, I am a salon business expert and a fully qualified accredited Impact Business Performance Coach. Since qualifying as a professional coach in 2003 I have been working with helping hair and barber salon entrepreneurs achieve the success they want for both their businesses and their teams.

My passion for coaching stems in my over four decades love of the hairdressing industry. I am an ex-hairdresser, having trained with Sassoons & Jingles International and an ex-salon owner of 24 years running a highly successful and award-winning salon. I understand the ups and the downs of salon life and how difficult it can be to build your team, be creative AND then try to grow your business on top of that!

I feel that part of my success is through my understanding and experience within the hairdressing industry and I have been lucky enough to have served on the key bodies which has given me a unique perspective on hairdressing businesses and the industry within a wider context.

Hair & Beauty Industry Authority (H.A.B.I.A) council member representing Nationally Approved Salons (NAS), I also contributed & advised on the first Foundation Degree in Hairdressing.

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing former chairman (2012-14), Fellow with Honours, Fellow with Distinction, main Council & Finance board member.

Past President (2015-2018) Helping Hairdressers’ In Need.

The Hair & Barber Council Chairman, I was also the first Chair of the initial steering committee, for advising council on how to make registration appealing to the hairdressing industry & achieve a broad positive consensual opinion regards mandatory registration.
